Accepting Prior Authorization Requests for HHA Beginning October 1, 2020

Heritage Health (Medicaid):

Effective October 1, 2020, Nebraska Total Care will begin accepting prior authorization requests for services for the Heritage Health Adult (HHA) Medicaid expansion population.  

Authorization for services for HHA members will be requested and reviewed through the same processes that already exists for Heritage Health (HH) Medicaid members.  Additionally, there are no differences in services that require authorization for HHA or HH members and no differences in how Nebraska Total Care will handle retro-authorizations for HHA Members.  For references to authorization processes you can review our Provider Manual. 

Providers are able to utilize our Pre-Auth Check Tool to view if a code requires authorization.
