Heritage Health (Medicaid)
Nebraska Total Care is able to provide you with health coverage because you are eligible for Nebraska Medicaid through the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). DHHS asked that we share this important update with you.
Has your contact information changed?
To make sure that you receive important updates about your coverage, please make sure your contact information is up to date with Nebraska Medicaid. This includes your mailing address, email address, and phone number. To see if your contact information is up to date or to report a change to Nebraska Medicaid you can:
- Go online at iServe Nebraska
- Email DHHS.ANDICenter@nebraska.gov
- Fax 402-742-2351
- Call 855-632-7633, TDD 402-471-7256
Reviewing your Medicaid eligibility:
Normally, Nebraska Medicaid reviews all Medicaid eligibility once per year or any time you report a change to see if you still qualify for Medicaid coverage. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nebraska Medicaid has kept everyone’s coverage open since March 2020. Starting on March 1, 2023, Nebraska Medicaid will be reviewing eligibility again to make sure you still qualify for coverage.
If you have signed up for an online account with iServe Nebraska to manage your benefits, you can use the 'Medicaid Renewal' feature after logging into your account to see when your next renewal is due, or you can contact us at the information listed above.
Reporting important changes:
You must report any changes that might affect your coverage to Nebraska Medicaid. Please report changes for both you and other people with Medicaid coverage in your household, like:
- If you or someone with Medicaid in your house has moved in the last 3 years.
- If you or someone with Medicaid in your house has had an income or resource change.
- If your household changes. For example, someone with Medicaid in your household marries or divorces, becomes pregnant, or has or adopts a child.
Watch your texts, email, and mail:
Nebraska Medicaid will reach out if there is an important update on your Medicaid renewal. If you receive a notice from Nebraska Medicaid, please be sure to read it and follow its instructions as soon as possible. This will help you avoid a possible gap in your Medicaid coverage.
Nebraska Total Care is happy to provide you with important health care services. By taking these important steps with Nebraska Medicaid, we hope to continue to be able to help you take care of your health.
