Explanation of Payment Issue Identified

Heritage Health (Medicaid):

Nebraska Total Care has identified an issue with the Explanation of Payment (EOP) mailed to providers. The impact is for EOPs on or after January 5, 2018 and only for claims that are being used towards the reimbursement for a negative balance.

The EOP may reflect inaccurate patient control numbers. Providers are advised that EOPs obtained from the secure provider portal reflect accurately the patient control numbers. Providers experiencing concerns relative to the patient control numbers are encouraged to contact their Provider Relations Representative for further assistance.
